Hochfügen – Loassattel
You can drive your own car directly to the lift parking lot in Hochfügen. The moderately difficult 11.8-km trail takes about 3 hours and climbs 250 meters in elevation to the Loassattel. Here, a fantastic panoramic view of the Inn Valley all the way to the Zugspitze in Tyrol awaits you. Another highlight is a detour to the Aarwirt, one of the most popular ski huts in the Zillertal.

Schwarzachalm – Gerlos
Start your hike directly from your own car at Gasthof Kühle Rast at the entrance to the Schwarzach Valley. This easy 5-km hike takes you to the rustic Schwarzachalm in 2 hours, with an elevation gain of 165 meters—a place that invites you to linger. A special winter adventure awaits right in the heart of the Hochfügen ski area | The new Pfaffenbichl winter via ferrata starts right at the Waidoffenbahn at 2,431 m and leads over secured steel cables, footrests, and a 28-meter-long rope bridge all the way to the summit. The winter via ferrata is ideal for athletic skiers, ski tourers, and active winter visitors who want to combine their day of skiing in the Hochfügen ski area with an extraordinary off-piste experience.

At approximately 260 meters in length, with an elevation gain of 115 meters and a maximum difficulty rating of B, the via ferrata offers a secure alpine experience and is an exciting addition to winter hiking in Hochfügen—for anyone who wants to aim high. The route is ascended only; the descent is via the marked winter trail. Use of the winter via ferrata is at your own risk and requires alpine experience as well as appropriate equipment.
