Adults-Only Spa - Sauna Area for Adults

Our sauna area is designed as an adults-only spa (ages 16 and up) and offers pure relaxation:

  • 4 saunas: an alpine sauna made of reclaimed wood (Finnish sauna), a bio sauna with fresh herbs, and a steam grotto
  • Infrared cabin made of local Swiss stone pine
  • Refreshing rain shower
  • Relaxation area with a cozy lounge corner and spacious lounging areas
  • Exclusive outdoor area—a nude section surrounded by nature on a mountain meadow next to a stone wall
  • Tea bar with a selection of teas, fresh mountain spring water, healthy snacks, and fruit

As a family hotel with wellness facilities, we offer our new SKY Sauna made of Swiss stone pine for children and teens—a clothed sauna on the roof right next to the infinity pool!

Massages reduce stress hormones, promote the release of endorphins, and contribute significantly to your overall well-being. Tension melts away, and energy can flow freely through your body once again. It’s all about finding the right touch for your body and soul—experience the soothing massages from our professional team for yourself!

Daniel Gottner, a medical massage therapist with expertise in osteopathy, is available every Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or by individual appointment. Isolde Pinter, our experienced therapist at the WaldSPA, offers her treatments every Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursdays starting at 3:00 p.m.

There’s hardly a better place in the Zillertal for meditation and relaxation than our 5,000 m² natural garden. Whether on the idyllic platforms made of local larch wood or on the fresh grass of the mountain meadows, surrounded by flowers and herbs—one thing is certain: Here you’ll find absolute peace and a breathtaking panoramic view of the Zillertal and the surrounding mountains. Our old hay barn, built in 1901 and situated right next to the Jungwald forest and a mountain stream fed by a fresh spring, offers a special sense of exclusivity. This unique spot is perfect for our yoga program and provides an atmosphere of comfort and seclusion.

Does the Das Kaltenbach Spa Hotel offer an adults-only wellness area?

In our Adults-Only area, we offer an exclusive sauna area for adults ages 16 and older. On a separate level, you’ll find:

  • Relaxation area: For perfect relaxation after your sauna session, including an outdoor level designated as a nude area.

Are children allowed in the wellness area of the Das Kaltenbach spa hotel, and is there a special sauna for children?

Children and families are warmly welcome in our wellness area with a pool. A special highlight for the little ones is our year-round heated pool at the aparthotel, which offers a pleasant water temperature of 32 degrees. The Sky Sauna is sure to impress and is accessible to children of all ages. The Swiss stone pine sauna offers breathtaking mountain views through the large panoramic windows and creates a true infinity feeling. Children’s safety in the sauna is ensured, as the sauna stoves in the family sauna are installed in such a way that there is no risk of burns.

Access to the Adults-Only Spa is permitted for adults aged 16 and older.

Is the Rooftop Spa also open to outside day-spa guests?

No. The Sky Sauna, the adult sauna area, and the entire Rooftop Spa are reserved exclusively for our hotel guests. We have made a conscious decision not to offer day spa services—to ensure greater tranquility, privacy, and an undisturbed wellness experience in the Zillertal.
