Spieljochbahn in Fügen–Kaltenbach

Mountain enthusiasts and adventurers are in good hands at the Spieljoch Adventure Mountain. In addition to the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, there are many recreational activities to enjoy around the mountain station. The “First Zillertal Barefoot Trail,” a climbing garden, and the new Flying Fox provide fun and variety on the mountain. Highlights at the Spieljoch Adventure Mountain in the First Vacation Region of Fügen–Kaltenbach include:

The Spruce World at the Rosenalm. The absolute highlight of a family vacation in Tyrol is the Spruce Castle and the new Spruce Lake near the Rosenalmbahn in Zell am Ziller—a massive wooden castle with a unique playground. Also new is the adjacent Fichtensee, which invites the whole family to relax in the heart of nature. Combining this with a leisurely hike along the Schmankerlweg is the perfect way to enjoy the day, starting from the Rosenalmbahn’s mountain station!

Gerlosstein Alpine Paradise. The Gerlossteinbahn in Hainzenberg offers an alpine paradise with many new attractions, true to the motto “Back to the Roots.” On the Almpromenade themed trail, you’ll learn a lot about the history and culture of the Zillertal. Pure action is guaranteed at the Almflieger, and the new Hüpfstadl with its exciting climbing opportunities offers plenty of fun!

Latschenland Gerlos. The Isskogelbahn in Gerlos takes you directly to the Latschenland play paradise on the Isskogel at 1,950 m above sea level. Whether it’s rabbits, goats, calves, or chickens—there’s always something going on in the huge play area and the new adventure climbing course.

Königsleiten Summit World. Looking for a mountain adventure with the family at the cool wooden marble run at the top station of the Königsleiten Dorfbahn? From the Sagenerlebnis at Kröndlwurmsee to the GipfelLiner Königsleiten, the popular summer mountain railway in the Zillertal at 2,300 m above sea level offers plenty of fun and an adrenaline rush for a family outing during your summer vacation in the Zillertal.

Penkenbahn – the Actionberg | Hikers and bikers will find their own personal sense of summit bliss on the Actionberg Penken. Action fans can walk across the water on Funballz or explore the Penken on mountain scooters.Another highlight is the E-Trial course: Here, it quickly becomes clear who has the skill, coordination, and nerves of steel! An idyllic mountain playground with swings, a climbing tower, a slide, and a water play area rounds out the offerings at the Penken Fun Sports Station.

Finkenberger Almbahn - Finkenberg | High above the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you can enjoy the summer mountain panorama, get active, or simply unwind. The idyllic peat bog nature trail on the Penken begins right at the mid-station and offers an educational hike for the whole family. Fun for the whole family is guaranteed at Pepi’s Kinderland—the absolute highlight is the “Capella Granata,” designed by Swiss star architect Mario Botta from Ticino, located at 2,087 meters above sea level east of the reservoir at the Penkenjoch.

Eggalmbahn – Lanersbach/Tux | The absolute highlight of the Eggalmbahn is the new “Almspielerei”—inviting even the youngest hiking enthusiasts to marvel and explore. All around the Eggalmbahn mountain station at 1,950 meters above sea level, a wide variety of play stations await, along with a huge water pond featuring a rowboat—which can also be used for Kneipp therapy—promising tons of fun for the whole family!

Hintertux Glacier - Hintertux | Families and nature lovers can take the summer cable cars to explore a fascinating mountain world at altitudes of up to 3,250 meters and recharge their batteries for everyday life. You’ll also find the Spannagel Cave, a natural monument and the highest accessible cave in Europe. Gain insights into the eternal ice at the Natur Eis Palast, located at 3,200 meters above sea level. A unique natural gem where you can step into a walk-through glacier crevasse featuring magical ice stalactites, giant sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls, and even a glacial lake.
