We - Stephan and Isabella Haas - opened Das Kaltenbach in December 2014 with a lot of passion and, above all, deep conviction and heart and soul!

WHO WE ARE
Your hosts in the hotel "Das Kaltenbach" are Stephan and Isabella Haas, with daughter Lea and her sons Julian and Maximilian. We grew up with our parents' farm "Kornerhof" in Kaltenbach, with pastures in the hiking area Hochzillertal and Tuxertal. This was from the beginning a deep rooted to the region and homeland.
After many years in the management of a Tyrolean regional bank, Stephan Haas decided to create a special holiday home in the heart of the Zillertal together with his wife Isabella and children with the exclusive Apart Hotel "Das Kaltenbach". Today, the holiday home is one of the leading lifestyle hotels in Austria. Hospitality is in first place and so the Kaltenbach was awarded the coveted Holiday Check Award already after the first year of the hotel opening and also in the last years 2016, 2017, 2019 and the special award 2021.
HISTORY OF THE HOTEL
The property was acquired in early 1960 by the great uncle Josef Haas and over the last decades managed by the family Kornerhof. Following project planning and a meticulous planning phase, in 2014 Kaltenbach followed the architecture of a fairly undisturbed mountain village, creating it in a record time of 6 months and opening in the winter season.
Living in rooms with lots of light and air that will do you good. The Kaltenbach is characterized by a very sophisticated alpine lifestyle design, fine materials from our home country combined with craftsmanship at the highest level and is one of the leading lifestyle hotels in Austria. In addition, the small mountain village in the heart of the Ziller Valley may count as one of the world's leading luxury boutique hotels - Eighty Four Rooms and since 2021 also one of the Leading Spa resorts in Europe.
Today "Das Kaltenbach" has become a real holiday home for many guests & fans - according to our motto: "Here you are at home".
